Since 2005, more than 90% of the British Virgin Islands’ coral reefs have been endangered, and NASA scientists estimate that up to 90% of reefs worldwide could be wiped out by 2050. In late 2023, a shipment of 254 clay bricks arrived in the British Virgin Islands from Switzerland. They weren’t destined for a construction site.
